Lokomotiva & Kino Kultura project space – became a member of EDN
We are delighted to announce that Kino Kultura project space, represented by Lokomotiva, became one of the members of EDN- European Dancehouse Network.
For the founders, Lokomotiva and Theatre Navigator, this is important news and is the realization of part of our goals for internationalization.
This membership in EDN, for us, means that Kino Kultura as a project space for contemporary performing arts, among what, dance and performance was recognized and supported by the international partners.
Lokomotiva, as a member of the network we will have the opportunity to strengthen advocacy mechanisms and advocate for the sustainable space and institution that would support the development of contemporary performing arts, such as dance and performance in the country.
We are hopeful that local and national authorities finally will recognize the need for a ‘home’- a sustainable space and institution that would address the needs of the artists creating in that field, in the country, and will enable this project space to become one of such “home(s)”
Besides us, also two other organizations from the region were accepted as new members: Station Service for Contemporary Dance, from Belgrade and Derida Dance Center, from Sofia.
EDN is a network for trust and cooperation between European dance houses sharing a common vision regarding the development of dance art across borders, governed by its members through the Assembly and the board of directors. EDN- European Dancehouse Network’s key mission is to cooperate in securing a sustainable future for the dance sector and to improve relevance for diverse dance among society. EDN supports a platform for intercultural exchange, develop joint projects, share insight and redevelop our organizations, thanks to input from associations by addressing cultural themes whilst integrating minorities to encourage active cultural participation campaign, promotes exchanges for artistic development, curates, presents and co-produces projects, etc.

Европската мрежа на танцови куќи
Локомотива заедно со проектниот простор Кино Култура – стана членка на ЕДН
Со задоволство споделуваме дека проектниот простор Кино Култура, претставуван од Локомотива, стана член на ЕДН – Европската мрежа на танцови куќи /EDN – European Dancehouse Network/.
За основачите на овој проектен простор, Локомотива и Театар Навигатор, ова е важна вест и остварување на дел од целите за интернационализација.
Ова учество во мрежата ЕДН, значи за нас дека Кино Култура како проектен простор за современи изведувачки уметности, меѓу кои, танц и перформанс беше препознаен и поддржан од меѓународните партнери.
Партнерот Локомотива како членка на мрежата ќе има можност да ги зајакне механизмите за застапување и залагање за постојан простор и институција која ќе го поддржува развојот на современите изведувачки уметности, како танц и перформанс, во земјата.
Се надеваме дека локалните и националните власти конечно ќе ја препознаат потребата за ‘дом’, или еден одржлив простор и институција која ќе одговори на потребите на уметниците кои творат во тоа поле во земјата, а ќе помогнат овој проектен простор да прерасне во еден таков “дом’’.
Покрај нас, како нови членки на мрежата беа прифатени и две други организации од регионот: Станица сервис за современ танц, од Белград и Дерида танцовиот центар, од Софија.
ЕДН е мрежа за соработка и доверба помеѓу европските танцови куќи кои споделуваат заедничка визија за интернационален развој на танцовата уметност, управувана од нејзините членови преку Собранието и одборот на директори. Клучна мисија на мрежата е да соработува за да обезбеди одржлива иднина на танцовиот сектор и да ја подобри релевантноста на разновидните изведби во општеството. ЕДН поддржува платформа за меѓукултурна размена, развива заеднички проекти, споделува увид во, и ги доразвива нашите организации, благодарение на информациите од здруженија, работа на теми од културата за вклучување на малцинствата и поттикнува активна кампања за културно учество, промовира размена за уметнички развој, курира, презентира, копродуцира проекти итн.
