Biljana Tanurovska-Kjulavkovski

Biljana Tanurovska – Kjulavkovski is cultural producer, researcher and a curator at the intersection of dance, theatre and visual arts performance. She is co-founder of Nomad Dance Academy platform (NDA) (2005-) Kino Kultura (KK) – project space (2015-2020), Locomotion – festival for contemporary dance and performance (2008-2015) and program director of NGO Lokomotiva, Skopje (2003-). Currently she works on Archive of dance and performance in North Macedonia as part of NDA project (Non)Aliened Movements; she is course leader of “Curatorial practices and context” at Stockholm University of Arts and co-mentor of the Critical Practice (made in Yu) program. In the past two years, she co-curated the exhibitions “REALIZE! RESIST! REACT! Performance and Politics in the 1990s in the Post-Yugoslav Context” in 2020 at the MOCAM Ljubljana and “Ecstatic Bodies: Archive of Performative Queer Bodies in Macedonia” at the Skopje Pride Weekend festival 2022 and collaborates as co-curator on the festival program for dance and performance on MOT festival in Skopje. She teaches and is author and editor of texts, journals and book “Modeling art and cultural institutions”. She holds PhD from the Faculty of Drama Arts in Belgrade. in 2019, won ENCATC International Research Award on Cultural Policy and Cultural Management for her doctoral thesis and in 2021 AICA Macedonia “Ladislav Barishic” Award for the research “Political Performance as extended field in Macedonia in 90s”, among other.

 

Emilija Chochkova

Emilija Chochkova holds a degree in theatre, film and TV production and has 15 years of work experience in the field.

She worked as a program producer in the national TV channel Telma (2005-2015). In 2015 she founded ART PROEKT
LAB, the production house behind two seasons of the TV series The Family Markovski. Since 2022 she works as a producer at The Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje and as a program coordinator in Lokomotiva – Centre for New Initiatives in Arts and Culture. She is an EAVE (European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs) graduate and a Berlinale Talent alumni (Berlin Film Festival).

 

 

 

 

 

Gjurgjica Hristovska

Gjurguca Hristovska has a BA in Fruit Production with Viticulture at Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and food at the University “Sts. Cyril and Methodius” at Skopje. She has a long working experience as a technical secretary from 2009 till 2017 for the LTD TIM POINT in Skopje. In 2018 she started working for the NGO Lokomotiva – Centar for New Initiatives in Arts and Culture, Skopje and Association for theatre and educational activities Theatre of the Navigator Cvetko, as an administrator. She is a huge fan and friend of children and young people. A great proponent of creating a cleaner and greener environment for a carefree childhood and proper development of children and youth; in fact, a champion for a more beautiful and cleaner environment which is something that our planet Earth deserves, and we do too. Between her many hobbies she enjoys designing calendars, notes and gift cards.

 

 

Zorica Zafirovska

She is an artist, cultural worker, activist, and project coordinator of Lokomotiva. She holds a bachelor’s degree from The Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje. Since 2011 she is a Ph.D. Candidate in cultural studies at the Institute for Social Sciences and Humanities “Euro-Balkan”. In 2022 she is a Ph.D. Candidate at the Faculty of Fine Arts, in Skopje. Her work as a visual and conceptual artist involves a wide spectrum of research concerned with contemporary socio-political topics, such as human trafficking and homelessness. In her home town Skopje and elsewhere, she does mostly site- and time-specific installations and small actions, that rely on critical and subversive approaches of executing and presenting her work. From 2008 member of F.R.I.K. (Cultural Development Association Formation) from Skopje. In 2011 she co-founded Momi initiation of 6 women artists from Skopje and in 2009 co-founded Art I. N.S.T.I.T.U.T. an artist group and artists-run space in Skopje. Initiated The Space, an art project in Skopje, and became a member of Jadro in 2013. She has over 10 solo exhibitions and projects in Macedonia, New York, and Germany. Winner of SIA Young artist award in 2014 and YVAA Award in 2016. She lives and works in Skopje, Macedonia.
