School of Choreography/ Autonomy of the Dance and Expanded Choreography

with the dramaturg Zrinka Užbinec and the choreographer Aleksandar Georgiev

The School of Choreography” is developed by Lokomotiva – Center for new initiatives in art and culture, in collaboration with Zrinka Užbinec (Croatia), together with Aleksandar Georgiev (North Macedonia) and it will happen on the 17th and 18th of October.

The school will engage the students of dance department of the University Goce Delcev and it will include lectures, choreography and dance lessons realized with a physical presence and online. During the school, limitations will be created regarding the number of participants and the practicing availability according to the restriction’s measures for safety and prevention of the pandemics of the COVID-19 crisis.

The performance SCREENSAVER is an author’s work of Aleksandar Georgiev (North Macedonia), developed in collaboration with Zhana Penceva (Bulgaria), Dario Barreto Damas (Spain) and Aleksandra Petrusevska (North Macedonia).

The work is developed in several phases, through residence and cooperation with Kino Kultura and the Youth Cultural Center in August and November. The premiere is planned for the end of November or the beginning of December, and will be realized with physical presence or through an online stream, depending on the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic in the country. The performance SCREENSAVER is part of the program “Contemporary Choreography”, curated by the program Biljana Tanurovska-Kulavkovski and produced by Violeta Kachakova. The performance will be accompanied by the author’s music by Dragana Zarevska (North Macedonia).
